The conference room at Astor Film Lounge, showing cinema seats and the cinema screen

Astor Film Lounge HafenCity

The arthouse cinema Astor opened in Hamburg approximately five years ago and is equipped with up-to-date sound and video systems. The film lounge will house our conference during the day. Very comfy armchairs and a large screen will make the talks an enjoyable experience.

There will be plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, and tea during the day. We will also provide a tasty business lunch to keep up the energy during the day.

After the conference you will be able to easily reach the evening location via a short walk (20min), ride on a ferry or go one subway station - depending on the weather. The walk will take you through the “Speicherstadt” of Hamburg, which is the largest warehouse district in the world where the buildings stand on timber-pile foundations, and was built from 1883 to 1927. After the HafenCity district you will stroll along the harbor front to the museum ship.

Evening networking 2024

The museum ship we take dinner. A historic sailing ship with three masts.

Rickmer Rickmers museum ship

The dinner and networking event after the summit will take place on the Rickmer Rickmers, which is a moored barque built in 1896. Her days of sailing to Hong Kong and trading rice are long gone, and it was turned into a floating museum ship. Restored crew and officers' quarters offer an insight into the original life of a sailor.

The focus for the evening is to socialize and have a proper conversation, so don’t expect any loud music, but great food & drinks in a maritime atmosphere.

Our evening starts with a reception on deck and a fantastic view over the port of Hamburg. For our dinner and the networking evening we will move below deck into the very cozy restaurant. Within the belly of the ship there is also a historical exhibition about the sailing ship's eventful maritime past, we have access to until the late evening, should you want to take a stroll through history.
